Sorry I've been quiet, but something wonderful has happened. We have a council house!
This time next week we will be carting all our belongings 30 miles up the motorway and beginning a new life in Eastleigh.
And yes that is a town house (Three levels) you should have seen my face when they told us it wouldn't be the 2 floor house we were expecting but the house you see in the photo above!
We have been so blessed!

ReplyDeleteSuch a happy post, I am really pleased for you. I know the Eastleigh near Southhampton, my sister in law used to live there before she moved to Havant. I do not know the one near Barnstable but the area is lovely. Whichever one you are going to I hope that all works out well.

Sarah, what wonderful news. I'll pass on the one tip my dear Mum would always follow and share: "Once the beds are in place stop what ever you are doing and make them up. You'll appreciate when it comes to bedtime". I'd add that this will also make it easier for you and your husband whether you "farm the children out" for the night of have them with you. Wishing you many happy years in your new home, Michelle in Wellington, NZ. XX
ReplyDelete(p.s. at least the stairs are on the inside - my wee flat is down 54 steep and narrow steps, typical for inner Wellington)
